American India Foundation
Cornell Chapter
Who We Are: The American India Foundation Cornell Chapter is a student-led organization dedicated to advancing the mission of the American India Foundation (AIF) through fundraising, advocacy, and community engagement. We aim to support AIF’s initiatives in education, livelihoods, and public health to improve the lives of underprivileged communities in India.
What We Support
The American India Foundation (AIF) is the largest US-based nonprofit focused on poverty alleviation India. It is dedicated to improving economic and social mobility for underprivileged communities in India through work in three key areas:
1. Education: Programs like Digital Equalizer (DE) and the Learning and Migration Program (LAMP) ensure access to quality education.
2. Livelihoods: The Market Aligned Skills Training (MAST) initiative empowers youth with vocational training and job opportunities.
3. Public Health: The Maternal and Newborn Survival Initiative (MANSI) enhances maternal and child healthcare outcomes.
